Rescue of a hiker in Cazorla. The Civil Guard had to come to the aid of this person who was in the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura and la Villas Natural Park, in the province of Jaén. The meritorious communicated this Friday that the event occurred yesterday afternoon, around seven o’clock.
Specifically, they had to help a 56-year-old woman from Barcelona, who had suffered injuries while hiking in the area known as Borosa River tunnels. This area is located in the municipal term of Santiago Pontones.
Components of the Seprona de Cazorla came to the scene. There they were able to verify that, due to the orography of the land, it was absolutely impossible to carry out the aid by land, Therefore, the presence of the Corps Air Service and components of the Mountain Rescue Group of the Civil Guard was required.
They finally managed to evacuate the injured woman almost an hour and a half later. The wound has been transferred to the San Juan de la Cruz Hospital in Úbeda by the Corps Helicopter.
