Thomas Eberth invites you to the Cyclist Autumn 2021

The district administrator’s bike tour has existed in the district of Wrzburg since 1997 and it should also take place this year.

The usual springtime for cyclists, however, became the autumn for cyclists due to the corona: On Saturday, September 25, District Administrator Thomas Eberth invites you to a traditional tour. Together with the district chief, citizens can get on their bikes and enjoy a tour of around 48 kilometers through the northwest of the Wrzburg district, as stated in a press release from the district office.

Corona postponed cyclist spring to September

Due to the high number of corona infections, the opening tour of the cyclist spring, originally planned for April, was canceled. As a substitute for the missed opening round, District Administrator Thomas Eberth is now going on a final tour of the cycling year 2021. This starts on September 25th at 10 am at the Ramnick Biohof in Greuenheim and initially leads via Leinach to Erlabrunn. After 16 kilometers and a good hour’s drive, there is a first small break at the swimming lake there, where fair trade fruit is served.

The route continues relaxed on the Main cycle path past Margetshchheim and Zell a. Main. At the intermediate destination in Hchberg there is time for a lunch break. District Administrator Eberth invites you to eat, drinks are provided during the breaks. The return route to the end point in Greuenheim leads via Waldbttelbrunn and Uettingen. A total of around four hours’ driving time is scheduled for the 48-kilometer route. A joint coffee and cake at the church square in Greuenheim will conclude, so the message continues.

The majority of the route is covered on developed, asphalted paths. Part of the route leads through forest, on individual sections public roads are used. In some places, the police briefly secure the traffic until the column has passed the respective section. Since there are some steep climbs to be mastered, a very good level of fitness is recommended for participating in the tour.

Registration is not required. The tour also takes place in bad weather. Reference is made to the obligation to wear a helmet.
