Baltimore Defending champion Tom Brady underscores his ambitions in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On a day with several quarterback injuries, however, the Kansas City Chiefs surprisingly conceded their first defeat of the season.
Against the Baltimore Ravens there was a 35:36 for the Super Bowl champion of 2020 on Sunday (local time). In the duel between the two top quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, the Ravens for Jackson had the better end to themselves. Jackson came up with a touchdown pass and two self-run touchdowns as well as strong actions in critical phases of the game. “Just keep going and don’t give up,” Jackson told NBC. Mahomes threw for three touchdowns.

Previously, Tom Brady had led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with five touchdown passes to 48:25 against the Atlanta Falcons. Of the biggest favorites at the Super Bowl, the defending champion is the only remaining team without defeat after the Los Angeles Rams after only two game days.

Numerous quarterback colleagues had to abandon their missions injured before. Tua Tagovailoa only played in the first quarter at 0:28 the Miami Dolphins against the Buffallo Bills and then fell out with a rib injury. Andy Dalton injured his knee at the 20:17 Chicago Bears against the Cincinnati Bengals and again had to give up his challenger Justin Fields.

In the Houston Texans, the game for Tyrod Taylor ended early. At 21:31 against the Cleveland Browns, he could not continue after his own touchdown. Taylor plays because the Texans are renouncing Deshaun Watson, accused of sexually abusing multiple women. The Indianapolis Colts had to do without Carson Wentz at the end of the 24:27 defeat against the Rams. The quarterback injured his ankle.

The second German in the National Football League, Amon-Ra St. Brown, will face the Green Bay Packers with the Detroit Lions in his second NFL game at the end of the game day on Monday evening (local time). Due to injuries with the Lions, he has a good chance of significantly more play than last weekend’s debut.
