Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has named three players Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo will challenge for the Premier League Golden Boot this season.
The three players are Harry Kane (Tottenham), Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
Ronaldo currently has three goals, while Salah has four and Lukuku three.
As for Kane, he won the Golden Boot last season.
In his column for the Telegraph, Carragher said: “I’m sure Ronaldo will challenge Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Romelu Lukaku for this season’s Golden Boot.
“As we saw last weekend against Newcastle United for his second Manchester debut, the mere presence of Ronaldo is a certainty of goals, and his return has transformed the atmosphere at his club and raised the profile even more of English football.
“But the larger question for [Manchester] United is whether Ronaldo’s arrival brings them any closer to a side capable of winning the title again [de Premier League] and the Champions League. “
