Porsche and snow are always a very fun combination and belong inseparably to the German carmaker. This is due, among other things, to the photographs of skier Egon Zimmerman from 1936, which shows how a Porsche 355 jumps over large snow barriers. Today, the carmaker then used the legendary photo in its promotion again and again.

The Germans decided to celebrate this film, preferably by recreating it. She chose the Taycan electric car for the new version and cast an excellent downhill skier and speed champion, Norwegian native Aksel Lund Svindal, as a skier. Both skiers share both their profession and especially their passion for Porsche.

At the event, during which the film was being re-created, Porsche invited, among others, the brother of the legendary skier Karlheinz Zimmerman, as well as his nephew Michael, to witness this historic moment. “The new interpretation of the photo in the jump represents a tradition. But, of course, it also shows that we are moving forward and thinking about the future, ”summed up the message of the new photo, Lutz Meschke, Vice President of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.
