Norwegian Politics, Capitalism | Norway is dependent on the rich that the socialists like to talk down

By increasing taxes, you do those who have at least one bear service.

It has become very common to hear many young people want to abolish capitalism as an economic system, and replace it with socialism. And some believe that communism is a much better option.

But what is capitalism really, and is it wise to abolish it as the Red and Socialist Left Party, among others, have advocated?

To simplify it a bit, capitalism is about the state not being able to decide what private companies produce, where they produce it, how and when.

Capitalism depends on a free market, where one can produce, compete, and sell goods or services without the state preventing it with high taxes, a lot of regulation or by nationalizing private companies as the leader of the Red Party has argued during the party leader’s question on NRK.

In 1990, 1.9 billion people, equivalent to 43 percent of the world’s population, lived on less than one dollar a day. That number has now been reduced to 1.1 billion, ie 21 per cent who live below that poverty line; thanks to the free market where it is allowed to succeed.

Will a socialist economic system in which the state controls all of the private economy further reduce this number?

The answer to that is no. Who will take the risk, invest and spend large sums for the state to come and forcibly nationalize the company you have spent their money and time on building up?

Very few I would say.

Therefore, I believe that by raising taxes and forcibly nationalizing private companies, one is doing those who have at least one bear service.

Norway is completely dependent on the rich that the socialists like to talk down. It is precisely they who create jobs, and help people to help themselves.
