The fortunes of the 25 richest families in the world have increased by 22 percent compared to last year, according to Bloomberg’s ranking. Among them are the owners of the Walmart chain of stores, the confectionery manufacturer Mars and the fashion house Hermes.
At the top of the Top 5 is the Walton family, which owns Walmart for the third generation, with a fortune estimated at 238.2 billion dollars. Descendants of Sam Walton, who founded the chain in 1962, are richer than Jeff Bezos ($ 200 billion) and Elon Musk ($ 205 billion), according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
