Amsterdam – For a long time, café Rooie Nelis was the pearl of the Jordaan, where famous Dutch people were sung to by folk singers and where a young princess Beatrix also appeared. The colorful pub is now rotting away, now that Black Gerrit is dead and Blonde Sien spends her last days in a nursing home. The reason for the long closure is a royal drama involving millions of euros, in which Sien and daughter Tonnie feel ‘fooled’.
