La Charité-sur-Loire. Less waste on the banks of the Loire. Last Saturday, an appointment was given to volunteers wishing to join the operation “I love the clean nature”. An eleventh edition which has shown that the banks of the great river seem less and less cluttered with rubbish and other objects having nothing to do there.
In 2020, the operation took place in early March, just before the first confinement. A year and a half later, a new type of waste has unfortunately appeared: the mask, some of which have retained the epithet of disposable! But to remain positive all the same, the participants found very few large bulky objects, the only exception this year, parts of a boneless car between La Marche and Tronsanges. An encouraging assessment for the charity team who obviously did not neglect the Cher, going as far as the place called Les Grenouilles in La Chapelle-Montlinard.
In the end, a small harvest for the thirty volunteers mobilized, a little less than last year, but whatever. And you can obviously take advantage of a walk to pick up what is lying around and if necessary use an application, “Trash Spotter” to leave a trace of its cleaning action. Better still, this application makes it possible to locate objects for which a better equipped person or a community can intervene.
