At its traditional autumn press conference, Apple introduced not only a new one iPhone 13 (mini), iPhone 13 Pro (Max) a a pair of iPads, but also smart watch Watch Series 7. They surprised with larger dimensions and display, better durability or faster charging. As for the specifications, as usual, Apple was not so shared.
Leaker Alireza had to take care of publishing the specifications on his twitter account. In the case of the Watch 7 with an aluminum case, we find a display covered with an Ion-X glass; for the stainless steel variant, Apple has prepared a sapphire crystal straight. The maximum brightness of the watch is 1000 rivets, unfortunately there is no mention of the display technology, however, we assume that it is an OLED.
The frames are only 1.7 millimeters thick, giving the Watch 7 a 20 percent larger display area than the previous version, and the display is also 70 percent brighter indoors compared to the Watch 6. The Watch 7’s weight at both the 41mm and 45mm the millimeter version has also grown – the aluminum version weighs 32 / 38.8 grams, the stainless steel version weighs 42.3 / 51.5 grams and the premium titanium variant weighs 37 / 45.1 grams.
Inside, we find the dual-core S7 SiP chipset, which should be 20 percent faster than the S5 variant used in Apple Watch SE. The internal memory is the same as in the case of Watch SE, ie 32 GB. There are also sensors for measuring blood oxygenation, ECG, heart rate, altimeter or GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / QZSS / Beidou for positioning. The standard is also Bluetooth 5.0, W3 chip, 50% louder speaker than in the case of Watch 3 or the presence of a microphone. An interesting novelty is the support of 5GHz Wi-Fi and U1 chip.

Battery life of up to 18 hours has been maintained, however the Watch 7 has a fast charge – from 0 to 80 percent, the watch can be reached in 45 minutes. You need to use the supplied charger for fast magnetic charging, which is an unpleasant news for MagSafe Duo owners – Apple has not yet officially confirmed whether the support for fast charging also applies to this charger.

Fans of outdoor activities will also be pleased that the Apple Watch 7 has retained the WR50’s water resistance, while adding dust resistance to the IP6X standard.
The Apple Watch Series 7 will go on sale during the fall of this year. The foreign price starts at $ 399 (approx. CZK 8,600 excluding VAT), while Czech prices have not been announced yet.
