NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – On the last trading day of the week, slight price losses determined the picture on the US stock exchange. The leading index Dow Jones Industrial (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) was 0.09 percent in the red at 34 720 points. For the Dow, a small gain of a third percent is on the horizon over the course of the week.
The so-called great decline on the futures exchanges could hold back prices. On these four trading days a year, the stock business is usually determined by trading-technical aspects. But the meeting of the US Federal Reserve next Wednesday is already casting its shadow.
The market-wide S&P 500 fell in early trading by 0.25 percent to 4463 counters. The technology-heavy NASDAQ 100 fell slightly more sharply by 0.47 percent to 15,443 points. The bottom line is that the consolidation of the past few weeks is continuing./bek/men
