Justs Šablinsks, Chairman of the Board of Venipak, pointed out that the transportation of intercontinental shipments and cargo by air is the company’s long-term goal, so that by 2025 Venipak will be able to operate on four continents, in 40 countries. Venipak currently offers its services to 200 destinations in China, Great Britain, Poland, the Baltic States, Germany and elsewhere.

Meanwhile, commenting on the general development goals and achievements of Venipak, Šablisnkis said that the company is expected to increase its total turnover by 30% this financial year – up to 50 million euros.

At the same time, the Latvian structural unit is expected to increase its turnover by 30%, reaching 12 million euros.

Martins Bulovičs, the head of the international department of Venipak, said that Riga International Airport had been chosen as a cooperation partner, because currently international shipments delivery flights from Europe are mainly organized through Frankfurt and Amsterdam, so additional logistics were needed to reduce the distance from the Baltic States. services. The airport was also chosen because the company appreciates its ability to react quickly and help solve various logistics issues.

“There are also several automated e-commerce customs clearance procedures in Latvia, which are performed faster and easier,” commented the head of Venipak’s International Division.

At the same time, Bulovičs added that the location of Riga Airport is grateful for the logistics of international shipments, because, according to the company’s estimates, it is possible to serve at least 60 million people not only from Latvia, but also from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland.

He also pointed out that it took about six months from the idea to start his flights to the end and the preparation of the first flight. It is currently planned that Venipak will operate flights from Riga once a week, but from mid-October it is planned to increase the number of flights to two flights a week.

According to Bulovich, the company is currently conducting additional research in at least three directions – air cargo organization from Eastern Europe to Shanghai, from Eastern Europe to the east coast of the United States (USA), and from Hong Kong to the west coast of the United States.

The airline “Atran” with the aircraft “Boeing 737” was chosen as the cargo carrier.

Asked about the import of goods or the return of the plane from Hong Kong, Bulovic said that the cargo for the return journey has already been announced and it is planned that the cargo compartment of the plane could be filled to about 50%.

Meanwhile, Artūrs Saveļjevs, a member of the board of Riga International Airport, added that in general, the airport has a positive attitude towards these changes, as this will add a destination in China to the airport’s direct flights. He also pointed out that with the expansion of Venipak’s services, the airport’s turnover will potentially increase and Riga Airport will strengthen its position in the international cargo market, which may also contribute to the growth of passenger flights in the future.

It has already been reported that on Tuesday, in the VIP hall of the airport “Riga”, the parcel delivery company “Venipak” presented the company’s strategic development goals at a press conference.

It is also reported that Venipak will start cargo transportation from Riga Airport. The first flight is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, from Riga to Hong Kong.

The company “Venipak Latvija” was registered in November 2011, and its share capital is 2845 euros, according to “Firmas.lv” information. Venipak Latvija is owned by Venipak of the Netherlands, but the real beneficiary of the company is Raudonis Nerijus, a Lithuanian citizen.
