The White House confirmed that it has contacted rapper Nicki Minaj to answer her questions about vaccines against the coronavirus, after she published messages in which she claimed to be against vaccination.
Although the artist said at first that she had been invited to visit the presidential residence to discuss her point of view with the US government, the offer was only to have a conversation with a doctor, the White House spokeswoman explained on Thursday. Jen Psaki, at her daily press conference.
“We offered a call between Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer their questions about the safety and efficacy of the vaccine,” Psaki told reporters.
However, the rapper did not interpret it that way, as on Wednesday she stated on Twitter before her 22.6 million followers that she had been invited in person and that she would come to “be serious.”
