Meanwhile, shares of the Ooredoo Group telecommunication issuer PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) became the top losers along with the issuer’s shares which is engaged in the coconut oil exporter business PT Indo Oil Perkasa Tbk (OILS).

This ISAT stock movement occurred amid the official news of the merger of ISAT and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia (H3I) or Tri Indonesia.
Previously, Ooredoo QPSC (Ooredoo) and CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (CK Hutchison) officially announced the signing of a definitive transaction agreement for the proposed merger of their respective telecommunications businesses in Indonesia, namely Indosat and PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia (H3I) or Tri Indonesia.
The combined company will then be named PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk (Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison).
Meanwhile, the combined company will remain listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with the stock code ISAT, where the Indonesian government owns the remaining 9.6% stake in ISAT, PT Tiga Telekomunikasi Indonesia owns 10.8% shares, and public shareholders other 14.0% shares.
“A large telecommunication transaction in Asia with a total value of up to US$ 6 billion.
