Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has stated that he does not take sides as a presidential candidate in front of his volunteer supporters. However, Jokowi Mania (JoMan) chose to carry Ganjar Pranowo.
Jokowi briefly mentioned this issue during the National Jokowi Secretariat Volunteer National Leadership Meeting in June 2021. Jokowi said that his volunteers were potential masses for election votes.
“In the last few weeks I have been asked a lot by volunteers, by Jokowi volunteers everywhere. They ask me, ‘Sir, what are your directions for us to face the 2024 Presidential Election’. Then ask again, ‘What should we do’, the question the following, ‘Let’s just be quiet, sir’,” said Jokowi, greeting the meeting, as written on Sunday (13/6).
“On this auspicious occasion, I want to convey patience, be patient. Don’t be in a hurry, don’t be in a hurry, grusa-grusu,” he said.
Jokowi advised volunteers not to rush to make a decision. He asked the wise volunteers to determine the political direction to be taken.
“Therefore, I advise the volunteers to observe first, don’t be in a hurry, milk ojo. Let’s study together the political constellation, we study together the political map well,” said Jokowi.
Jokowi said it was time for him to convey directions to his volunteers. Right now, the most important thing is the handling of the Corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“I see that there is still enough time to do all of this. Later when I will speak, I will convey where this big ship of Jokowi Volunteers will be steered and for now I invite all volunteers once again, to focus on helping the government in overcoming the COVID pandemic,” Jokowi continued.
Until now, Jokowi has not decided his position. However, JoMan chose to act without any direction from Jokowi.
