Removes two-year-old tram rails for 100 million. May have to put them back in a few years.

In April, the city council commissioned a study of a new tram connection across Greenland. Tram rails that the opposition believes could have been used in a new route are now being removed.

It took several months to establish the tram tracks at the back of Gunerius. Now they are removed after two years of use. In a few years they may be back.

Aftenposten recently wrote that tram rails in Christian Krohgs gate will be removed. They were used for only two years. Costs for establishment and then removal of the temporary tram route are approx. 100 million kroner.

The rails were laid to give people a tram offer while Storgata was closed.
