Madrid, Sep 16 (EFE) .- Belgium and Brazil continue to lead the FIFA world rankings of the month, in which the most outstanding note is the access to the podium of England to the detriment of France.
France’s draws in the World Cup qualifying round remove Didier Deschamps’ side from third place and leave him ahead of Italy and Argentina, who also retain their places.
The other changes in the ‘noble zone’ are the rise of Portugal to seventh place, which snatches Spain, and the entry into the ‘top 10’ of Denmark, which is installed just behind Mexico.
Among the top 50, the teams that have advanced the most, with four places, are Iran (22), Russia (37), Norway (39), Scotland (45) and Northern Ireland (47). Libya, led by the Spanish Javier Clemente, is the one that has risen the most, twelve positions, and Kosovo, rival of the Spanish team, reached its best historical position by settling in the 109th place.
