In Lithuania, 1,998 people were confirmed infected with the new coronavir last day, but the Covid-19 virus caused 16 lives, Statistics Lithuania said on Wednesday.
24,567 tests were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 5.3%.

According to the data of the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on September 15 in Lithuania has increased to 415.6.
A total of 1,708,511 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,579,251 people.

Another 525 people were found infected with the new coronavir in Estonia last day, but the Covid-19 virus caused two lives, the Health Department said on Wednesday.
6071 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 8.6%.
The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 147,881.
A total of 1,315 people died in Estonia from Covid-19.
165 patients with the disease are currently being treated in hospitals.
The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, has risen to 422.3 on 15 September.
A total of 743,034 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 664,432.
