This Tuesday 14, the Government of Ecuador, through the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), donated 336,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Peru to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
This delivery was made as part of the binational cooperation agreement.
The doses were transferred to the Binational Border Service Center (Cebaf) in Huaquillas, El Oro province, on the border between Ecuador and Peru.
The cargo of vaccines, transported in trucks, were guarded by personnel of the Ecuadorian Armed Forces until Cebaf.
According to Peruvian officials, these doses will be distributed between the Tumbes and Cajamarca regions. (I)
