BACAMALANG.COM – After receiving recommendations from WHO and BPOM, the East Java Health Office stated that all types of vaccines were safe to use.
“The Ministry of Health ensures that all types of vaccines in Indonesia are equally good and have received WHO recommendations and have gone through clinical trials and received EUA from BPOM,” said Head of the Immunization Surveillance Section of the East Java Provincial Health Service, Gito Hartono SKM MMKes, in his office, Tuesday ( 13/9/2021).
“It is hoped that people will not be picky about vaccines. Remember, all vaccines have the effectiveness of reducing the potential for infection and severity to prevent death,” he explained.
He said, each vaccine cannot be compared with each other, because each type of vaccine goes through different stages of study and testing, each type of vaccine has different efficacy.
He added that the best vaccines are currently available, namely Sinovac, Sinopharm, Astrazeneca, Pfizer and Moderna.
“The community is expected to be actively involved in the vaccination program and implement health protocols to prevent and break the chain of the spread of Covid-19,” he concluded. (*/had)
