On Tuesday at 1945, the police were notified that a dead man had been found in Loddefjord.
– It is a young man who has been found dead. The police are conducting crime scene investigations with crime technicians, says the police task leader on the spot, Tom Johannessen, to BA on the spot.
The deceased was found outdoors in Loddefjord.
– There is currently no basis for believing that anything criminal has happened, but we are still investigating to have a good picture of what has happened, Johannessen states.
Investigating missing case
On Sunday night, the police went out with a search warrant for a missing man (24). The person in question was last observed at Torgallmenningen on Saturday night, and the police asked for tips from the public on behalf of relatives.
Although the identity of the deceased person has not been clarified yet, the police have notified the next of kin of the missing person about the discovery.
– We are investigating whether there is a connection, says the police task leader.
At present, work is underway to confirm the identity of the deceased.
– Found by resident
The deceased was found in a garden by a house, and according to the police, it was the resident who found him.
– The deceased will be autopsied, police lawyer Arne Fjellstad informs.
On Tuesday evening, a large area around the site was cordoned off.
