“Now I say, how did they get this equipment? And I assure you that China and Russia already have our Apache helicopters and they dismantled them to find out exactly how they were made,” Trump said.
“They are the best in the world by far. And, they took it (US military equipment) so they could make the exact same equipment. They are very good at it. It’s a shame,” he continued, as reported by Sputnik on Monday (13/9/2021).
He then sought to cast doubt on the idea that the US war in Afghanistan was over. He took the opportunity to touch on the number of Afghan refugees brought into the US, questioning whether they were really “translators”.

“This is not the translator we took. These are people rushing onto planes and they are very interested in trying to make it sound like ‘Oh, they did a great job’.”
He continued, claiming that the refugees would become terrorists, because they were very strong and very energetic to get on the plane during the evacuation process.
