According to brand founder Elon Muska, who posted the data on his twitter account, the car drove a 20.6-kilometer Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes and 30,909 seconds, 12 seconds faster than the previous record-breaking bike set by the Porsche Taycan Turbo in 2019. Average speed Tesla was 166 km / h.

According to Musek, the record time was set by a completely serial, unmodified car. However, the carmaker is also preparing experiments with an aerodynamically modified piece, which should compress the timekeeper even more, even though it will no longer be an officially recognized record among production cars.
–
For comparison, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR holds the record among all production cars – even without electric cars – with a time of 6: 38.835.
–
The Plaid version arrived as part of this year’s modernization of the car, which has remained on the market since 2012. It was originally supposed to be supplemented by an even stronger Plaid +, but Musk announced in June that “it is not necessary because the Plaid is already good.”
–
Model S Plaid has three electric motors and a system power of 761 kW, 1020 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h then takes only 2.1 seconds and the maximum speed is 320 km / h. According to the carmaker, the range should be 628 kilometers. From 3.3 million crowns are available on the Czech market.
