Deathloop from the French headquarters of the Arkane studio, which has the Dishonored series, is coming out in just two days. Their American colleagues in Austin, who stand behind the 2017 Prey, are also not slowing down and working on the new game Redfall, which was announced at this year’s Microsoft E3 conference. We haven’t seen any new information since then, but like a bolt from the blue, screenshots from the game have now appeared on the Internet.
It must be said that the pictures do not come from an official source and it is not clear exactly who shared them first. The original source has already been deleted, but the screenshots that are supposed to come from the recent playtest continue to circulate. It is really clear from them that this is really a test and the whole graphics look very dirty. However, we can’t blame the developers, because it’s clear that these screenshots were never intended for public presentation.
In addition to the pictures, we also learned details about the game, which was shared on Reddit by MMontanez92. Redfall is supposed to be an open world game that is similar to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it is most reminiscent of the Borderlands series, especially in terms of gameplay. The title will be played solo in cooperation and there will be 6 characters to choose from, each of which has different abilities. Some are supposed to be close to those of Dishonored, for example, the game should have a teleport-like ability (so-called Blink). And if you are used to stealth from Dishonored, you will come to your own here as well. The game is allegedly going through both firearms and quite quietly.
Our task will be to fulfill missions and side tasks, for which we will gain experience points. In addition to the classic enemies, who are supposed to be really diverse (near / far, humans / vampires), there are also bossfights waiting for us, which are again compared to those in the Borderlands. The mix of weapons should also be very varied, in the game we can find classic rifles or pistols, but also special weapons such as Stake Launcher. We will move on a really big map, which is compared to the one from Fallout 76 or Ghost of Tsushima.

So far, that’s all from the leaks, we’ll have to wait for the official details. Redfall will be released next summer, targeting the PC and Xbox Series.
