PLN 3,000 gross – this is the minimum wage from 2022. The minimum hourly rate would be PLN 19.60. The government submitted such a proposal to raise the “lowest national” to representatives of employers and trade unions a few weeks ago. The salaries of employees who earn more may also change. It all depends on the principles of the Polish Order.
The lowest national salary. Why will the Council of Ministers decide?
In accordance with the procedures, the amount of the increase was sent to the Social Dialogue Council for consultation. As we know, the expectations of the employers and trade unions regarding the increase in the minimum wage are quite divergent. If the parties do not agree, the government decides the amount of the minimum wage for the next year by way of an ordinance. This was the case in previous years and it will also be this time.
This is the draft regulation of the Council of Ministers:
- From January 1, 2022, the minimum remuneration for work is PLN 3,000. From January 1, 2022, the minimum hourly rate is PLN 19.60 “.

The government can no longer agree on an amount lower than what it proposed a few weeks ago in the regulation. How would a gross pay rise of PLN 200 translate to the net salaries of the lowest-earning people (about 2.2 million employees)? How much would the net minimum wage be after the implementation of the solutions proposed in “Nowy Łada”?

Minimum wage 2022 – net calculations
An increase in salary to PLN 3,000 gross would meanthat the employee would get a little over PLN 2,202 on the basis of the existing rules. If the remuneration was calculated taking into account tax changes under the “New Deal” (the relevant laws are to be passed in autumn), the minimum net salary would already be over PLN 2,355.
