Ayfer Koç, wife Pieter Omtzigt, stops as councilor CDA in Enschede

Ayfer Koç, the wife of Pieter Omtzigt, will no longer stand for election as a councilor at the CDA in Enschede in the municipal elections. Koç announced this in a statement on Twitter on Sunday evening. She will remain in office until the election to finish her term as councilor.

“Recently, the events within the national CDA have been a huge struggle for me, partly due to the great personal impact on myself and my family. This means that I can no longer dedicate myself with enthusiasm, passion and conviction as a CDA representative” , Koç said in the statement.
