Fourteen Bayern Munich Frauen players called up to international duty

Bayern Munich Frauen will say goodbye to a staggering fourteen international players this week as they head off across Europe to meet up with their national teams. It’s time to start qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup being held in Australia!

Six Bayern players will be representing Germany during this break: Laura Benkarth, Linda Dallmann, Sydney Lohmann, Lea Schüller, Lina Magull, and Maxi Rall. That number would be even higher if Klara Bühl and Giulia Gwinn were 100%. The Germans will be facing Bulgaria and Serbia.

Carina Wenninger and Sarah Zadrazil will suit up for Austria against Latvia and North Macedonia. Sweden will face Slovakia and Georgia with Hanna Glas and Sofia Jakobsson. Viviane Asseyi and France will take on Greece and Slovenia.

Finally, Lineth Beerensteyn and the Netherlands will take on the Czech Republic and Iceland featuring Bayern players Karólína Vilhjálmsdóttir and Glódís Viggósdóttir in their only match of the break.

A Frauen player out on loan has also been called up to her national team. Weronika Zawistowska, who was loaned to FC Köln for the 2021/22 season, was called up by Poland for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Belgium and Armenia.
