Thousands of years old prehistoric objects have been found in the stomach of an alligator in Mississippi

Shane Smith, a game processing company, is an approx. He examined the stomach contents of a 340-pound alligator when he found two strange stone objects between the bones, feathers, and pebbles.

The alligator’s corpse was otherwise collected at Eagle Lake in Mississippi.

James Starnes, a geologist at the state Department of the Environment, found that one of the spearheads of an atlas throwing tree around 5-6,000 BC, this weapon was used by Native Americans.

The other drop-shaped object, made of black hematite, is a heavy one from 1700 BC, but archaeologists cannot tell exactly what it was used for.

Alligators, like birds, are likely to eat stones to help them digest, but it can also help them stay longer underwater. (Clarion Ledger via Insider)
