One million Aragonese already have the complete vaccine schedule

One million people in Aragon, which represents 75% of the population residing in the community, anda have received the full schedule of the vaccine against covid. Just over eight months after starting the immunization campaign in Spain, the community reaches uA very positive figure that makes it the eleventh autonomy (by extension there are other territories that have administered more doses) to overcome the million barrier.

In the data of the Ministry of Health, with the date of administration of vaccines to September 9 (Thursday), Aragon reached that day 997,793 people with a complete schedule. Therefore, it was on Friday (still to be updated in the ministry) when the community exceeded one million immunized In total, enough vaccines have already been administered to double that number.

Once this coverage was reached, from the Department of Health of the government Aragon will now focus their efforts to actively recruit people who have not yet protected themselves against covid. In advanced ages the rates are very good, some with 100% and in others very close to being reached. However, lThe furthest behind at this point are the Aragonese between 20 and 34 years old and it is in this group where the DGA is going to influence its campaign now.

In fact, they are already working on launching a series of strategies such as the sending SMS reminders, direct calls to the unvaccinated to advise them on immunization or setting up a space without an appointment in a health center so that they come, without schedule, to receive the dose.

The intention is to launch these initiatives coming soon and concentrate them in a week to achieve an active recruitment in an important moment of the process, with the return to the routine. In fact, the option of speaking with companies is being considered so that through their prevention plans they promote vaccination.

It is striking, for example, that the coverage of inoculation of the first dose among young people aged 12 to 19 years (82%) is greater than that registered among groups of 20 to 24 years (79%), from 25 to 29 years (74%), 30 to 34 years (74%) and even 35 to 39 years (75%). Teens were the last to be self-cited, but they’ve responded before. On the other hand, in older ages, vacations and not being in the place of residence during the summer period influenced the decrease in citations. Especially the fall was noticed in August and those weeks are still dragging on, because part of this population has not yet received any dodis.
