Jakarta, Selular.ID – Huawei has reportedly scheduled a new product launch event for October 21 in Vienna, Austria. The event is scheduled to be hosted by Derek Yu, VP Huawei CEE & Nordic Huawei Consumer Business Group.
However, the launch schedule does not include the name of the product to be launched but if you refer to Huawei’s official invitation, it seems that it will be the global debut of the P50 series which was previously announced in China last July.
If we take a closer look at the P50 series, this device claims to have a very good camera upgrade. The Huawei P50 series has two variants, namely the standard and Pro models.
The latest Huawei P Series is still collaborating with the Leica brand. Both models have a 10-channel color sensor and an upgraded telephoto module.
The P50 pair is equipped with the same main camera, namely a 50MP sensor behind a 23mm lens with f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
And the Huawei P50 Pro also has a 40MP black and white camera with a 26mm lens and f/1.6 aperture. Then there is a 13MP ultrawide angle camera with a 13mm f/2.2 lens. The camera is also assisted by Laser autofocus.
For zoom in, there’s a periscope lens with a focal length of 90mm, less than most periscopes circulating in smartphones today (about 3.9x magnification), but the high-resolution 64MP sensor offers a lot of flexibility, as digital zoom goes up to 2,700mm. This lens has an aperture of f/3.5 and OIS.
The Huawei P50 also has its own periscope, this is the first time on a non-Pro model. In the standard model, the periscope has a focal length of 125mm (5x zoom), albeit with a simpler 12MP sensor behind the f/3.4 lens with OIS. The standard model has a narrower 16mm ultra-wide lens and a similar 13MP sensor.
