Zelensky signed a decree on social guarantees

Zelensky initiated the approval by the government of the State Targeted Social Program to ensure the implementation of the right to housing for a number of individuals.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the provision of social guarantees for war veterans and families of the fallen Ukrainian defenders. Improvement of living conditions is envisaged for them. On Saturday, September 11, reports press service of the Office of the President.

In particular, the government is instructed to take measures for social protection, including by providing for housing costs for this category of persons in the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2022.

The decree applies to persons in need of better housing conditions, from among: families of those killed, missing or died as a result of injury received during participation in the anti-terrorist operation; persons with disabilities of groups I-II, obtained as a result of participation in the ATO; internally displaced persons who were directly involved in the defense of Ukraine from Russian aggression; families of participants in hostilities on the territory of other states, killed, missing or died as a result of injury received on the territory of these states during conflicts; persons with disabilities of I-II groups from among the UBD on the territory of other states; families of the deceased participants, persons with disabilities of I-II groups as a result of the events during the Revolution of Dignity, as well as the families of those who were posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine for their participation in the revolution.

In addition, Zelensky initiated the government’s approval of the State Targeted Social Program to ensure the implementation of the right to housing for persons who took part in hostilities for the period until 2025.

Also, the head of state instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure, from 2022, the functioning of the Unified State Register of Citizens in Need of Improved Housing Conditions.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Day of Ukrainian Cinema set the government a number of tasksabout the development of Ukrainian cinematography.
