Elin Ørjasæter became the first to leave this year «Skal vi danse».
After Iselin Guttormsen had to withdraw from “Shall we dance” last Saturday, none of the remaining celebrities had to leave the dance competition.
The points they received automatically went on to tonight’s broadcast, and it thus became a very nerve-wracking affair when the season’s very first “Skal vi danse” pair was to be voted out of the competition.
Throughout the evening, the dance couples took the viewers and judges back to different years in their dances, from 1790-2003. Everything from “Voguing” with Madonna to a slowfox with Frank Sinatra was performed, but in the end Elin Ørjasæter and dance partner Bjørn Wettre Holthe had to be knocked out of the competition despite a well-executed performance.
– Is it fair to say that I think this has been so much fun that I’m not so depressed? I think it has been a gift to be a part of – it has been great fun! Bjørn and I take one for the team, and for one team, an enthusiastic Ørjasæter exclaimed after smoking out.
Very close
Despite the fact that one dance couple had to say goodbye to the others, there were other couples who could walk off the floor with relief. Last Saturday, it was Anniken Jørgensen (25), Elin Ørjasæter (59) and Alejandro Fuentes (33) who were at the bottom of the table.
– I talked a bit about what it was like to be at the bottom. At least I’m fired. We want to convince people at home that we can do more. We’ll make it happen. It’s only the second week, Fuentes said after last Saturday’s broadcast.
– It was very uncomfortable. I was a little shocked, actually. I did not expect that. It was very strange, said Jørgensen.
With tonight’s points combined with last Saturday’s points, it was Dennis Vareide, Elin Ørjasæter and Øyvind “Vinni” Sauvik who were in danger of breaking out.
Sacrificing a lot
That it is sad to have to leave the floor for the last time is not difficult to understand. The celebrities who have agreed to participate in one of Norway’s largest entertainment programs put all their time and energy into performing as well as possible on the stage.
Before the “Skal vi danse” participation, Royane Harkati (28) was able to reveal to Nettavisen that she was in a somewhat complicated and undefined relationship. Last Saturday, however, she could tell that she has put the relationship on the shelf to be able to focus 100 percent on the “Shall we dance” participation.
– I have put it all on the shelf, simply. I have enough with myself right now, Royane said.

The former combined star Magnus Moan (38) has also had to sacrifice his part for the participation.
In an earlier interview with Nettavisen, he said that he had to leave his family in Trondheim to focus on dance in Oslo.
– I will miss the family in Trondheim, but this is a journey and an adventure I do not want to say no to, Moan told Nettavisen and still did not hide that it will be a challenge.
