LG has shown a foldable display that is as hard as glass and free of creases.

Although LG has exited the mobile market, it has remained very strong in other divisions. LG Chem, for example developed a new collapsible display material that is virtually hard as glass but flexible as plastic. This makes it stronger and more durable than anything currently available in a foldable mobile.
The novelty is special not only because it is more resistant than ever before and probably better to touch, but also because it can withstand 200,000 folds and allows for a crease-free screen. It can be folded in and out.
LG says their solution is a breakthrough in today’s folding mobile market and resolves consumer complaints. The new technology would be used in mobiles and later in tablets and laptops.
