PSG let its South American internationals relax after their matches in recent days, but the immensely wealthy Parisians had of course sent enough tastemakers into the meadow in the evening.
For example, goalkeeper Donnarumma made his first appearance at kick-off and kept his clean sheet against newcomer Clermont Foot, who had started the season strongly.
But against PSG they got the expected twist. Herrera paved the way before the break with two roses, a very active Mbappé on the counter and Gueye (a rebound after a shot by Mbappé) did their bit after the break.
With his 3-0, Mbappé more or less got his gram. The home fans have still not forgiven him for his flirtation with Real Madrid, but the mix of whistles and applause when calling the lineups resulted in nothing but applause after his goal.
Mbappe has already scored 4 league goals this season, but his first home game since the failed deal with Real Madrid was not completely smooth.
On Wednesday, Club Brugge will play host to PSG. Then Neymar, Mbappe and Messi could start together for the first time.
