Latvia’s young speed drivers Francis Gusts, Ričards Ansviesulis and Daniils Kolodinskis took sixth place in the world junior team championship on Friday on the Bydgoszcz track.
Out of 22 points for the Latvian national team, Gusts brought the lion’s share or 15 points, who won three races, one was second, one was fourth and one fell.
Kolodinskim seven points for one second and two third places. On another trip, he experienced a technical defect. Ansviesulis took part in two races and finished fourth in both.
Poland and Denmark competed for the title in the grand final. The victory was brought to the home team by Jakubs Miškovjaks with the first place and Viktor Lamparts with the third position, Poland triumphing in the history of the world junior team championship for the 14th time in history. The Danes Mads Hansen and Marcus Birkemose finished second and fourth respectively.
The bronze was won by Great Britain, the fourth place was taken by Australia, but then the Czech Republic, Latvia and Sweden.
