Ubisoft has all the post-release plans for Far Cry 6 announced. Not surprisingly, there is a Season Pass. You get this when you buy the Gold, Ultimate or Collector Edition of Far Cry 6. Of course, the Season Pass can also be purchased separately if you first purchase the regular version of Far Cry 6.
The Season Pass contains three episodes, centering on the previous villains: Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed. These characters apparently struggle with the misery of their own thoughts. This produces a so-called die and retry rogue-like game mode on. You start with just a gun and must find new weapons and power-ups to get stronger and go deeper into the minds of the infamous characters. All this should give you more insight into the history, personal demons and motivations of all these ancient adversaries.
The first Episde, “Vase: Insanity” is scheduled for November. Episode 2 “Pagan: Control” is set to be released in January 2022 and Episode 3 “Joseph: Collapse” in mid-March 2022.
In addition to the paid expansions, Far Cry 6 also has free new content after release. Both for solo and two-player co-op play, the new content will include a mix of weekly new quests to take out Antón Castillo’s followers, special operations in unique new areas, and special crossover missions. These crossovers consist of special characters or franchises: Danny Trejo, Rambo and Stranger Things.
More new content is coming as the Far Cry 6 development team is still busy expanding and improving a lot of content in the world of Yara.
