Jakarta – The Covid-19 pandemic does not only affect physical health, but also mental health. Recently, a study in the United States (US) found that the Covid-19 vaccine also has the potential to have benefits in improving a person’s mental health.
The study was conducted by researchers from the University of Southern California and published in the journal PLoS One. In the study mentioned, people who have been vaccinated experienced significant improvements in their mental health.
The researchers analyzed the results of 8,003 adults surveyed periodically between March 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021.
Those who had received the vaccine were less likely to show signs of mild or severe depression than those who had not been vaccinated, including people who intended to be vaccinated but had not received a quota.
The study explains that the effect of vaccination allows people to be less worried about being infected with the Covid-19 virus.
