The season of Cameroonian Jean Pierre Nsame was once again breathtaking. German site Transfermarkt named the Young Boys striker the best player of the 2020-2021 season in Switzerland.
For the fourth season in a row, the Young Boys Bern striker finished the season with more than 15 goals. Author of 19 goals and 8 assists last season, the Cameroonian once again distinguished himself, despite a serious injury which took him away from the field before the end of the season. Services that convinced the German site Transfermarkt (specializing in transfers and statistics) which named him the best player of the 2020-2021 season in Switzerland.
Top scorer in the championship for the second time in a row, it is also the second time for the Cameroonian international to be named best player of the championship by Transfermarkt. Because of his serious injury contracted last May (ruptured tendon), the 28-year-old still remains sidelined. The diagnosis provided for an unavailability of 7 to 9 months, anything that seriously jeopardizes the striker’s chances for CAN in Cameroon.
