More than 40 hotels are for sale in Galicia, according to Idealista

The number of hotels for sale in Idealista has increased 30% in the last year, as reported by the platform, which considers that the pandemic continues to impact the hotel sector. In Galicia, there are a total of 44.

Specifically, the August 1, 2021, a total of 639 establishments had been advertised on Idealista that they recognized count with a hotel license, while a year earlier that figure stood at 490, according to a recent study by Idealista. The increase has been noted more strongly in the coastal provinces, registering a 44% more hotel real estate offer than a year ago, going from 323 hotels to 465.

Almost half of the hotels for sale are concentrateds in three autonomous communities. Andalusia has 135 advertisements, Catalonia with 113 and the Balearic Islands with 67. In Castilla y León there are a total of 61 hotels available, followed by the Valencian Community (57), the Canary Islands (47) and Galicia (44). Next is Madrid, with 23 hotels announced, Aragón (20), Castilla-La Mancha (19), Asturias (17), Cantabria and Extremadura (13 hotels each). Finally, Navarra and Euskadi have two hotels advertised each, while La Rioja and Murcia have three.

Andalusia is also the community in which the number of hotels has grown the most this year, since it has a supply of 45 more establishments than there were 12 months ago, followed by the Canary Islands (with 28 more hotels), the Valencian Community (24), Catalonia (19), the Balearic Islands (17) and Galicia (17). On the contrary, in six communities supply has been reduced since August last year.

In Castilla y León there are eight less hotels available, in the Basque Country there are five less; in Murcia, three less; in Aragon and Castilla-La Mancha, two less in each and in Navarra there is one less hotel for sale than compared to the summer of 2020. provinces, the Balearic Islands is the one with the most hotel properties for sale, registering 67 units. They are followed by Barcelona (65), Malaga (54), Girona (49), Granada (37), Las Palmas (33), Alicante (29), Pontevedra (29) and Madrid (23).
