The wife of the Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov – Linda, works in her own confectionery in Sofia together with her mother, Bulgaria Today writes.
Linda’s parents, Margaret and Brad Mackenzie, have long since retired, but unlike her husband, who runs a community business, the minister’s mother works side by side with her daughter and makes healthy menus for her grandchildren.
Petkov’s mother-in-law is a nutritionist by profession, and later in her life she worked as a specialist in a brewery in Canada. He and his popular son-in-law often argue about non-alcoholic beers and the benefits of mixing fruit flavors with hops.
“From such a conversation was born the idea of the probiotic with which Kiro became popular around the world,” said friends to the minister.
Margaret herself constantly helps her daughter Linda not only at work but also in her personal life. Petkov’s mother-in-law often takes her grandchildren with her, as the children do not have Bulgarian citizenship and live more abroad.
“I will show you Bulgarian cheese and yogurt. They have nothing to do with ours,” the grandmother advised her grandchildren.
The minister’s wife, Linda, has had a pastry shop with gluten-free cakes for years, as one of her children could not stand gluten. Since then, she has developed her skills to reach the culinary show “Masterchef”.
Kiril Petkov’s father-in-law – Brad, did not come to Bulgaria. He loved to travel, but mostly to engage in social activities. Brad was an active participant in all the local festivities and celebrations in the Canadian city of Courtney. The elderly gentleman did not forget to join the parades of the Irish community, showing photos from the event on his Facebook account.
Petkov’s father-in-law and mother-in-law are also great travelers. The two have traveled around the world, their favorite destination being the Pacific Ocean. Otherwise, they live in Vancouver, happy with their large family.
