Restarted at full capacity from the first day of September after a long break and a thousand postponements due to Covid, the fiscal machine obviously reactivates also for the collection of the car tax.
Therefore, since there is no longer even the blocking of the sending of folders, anyone who is in a debt situation can see this documentation delivered to their home and must pay the arrears relating to the ownership tax as well. This, of course, only in the event that the relative tax bills do not have characteristics such as to be included in the list of those of less than 5 thousand euros intended for the excerpt: in this case reference is made only to the bills relating to the decade 2000 – 2010 and to those taxpayers who can document an income of the 2019 tax period below 30 thousand euros gross per year (50 thousand, on the other hand, for companies).
Who has to pay
The surest way to understand if you are a debtor is to proceed directly through the portal of theRevenue Agency – Collection and see the section “Check your situation”. In order to access it, it is necessary to be in possession of the specific credentials provided by the Public Digital Identity System (Spid), by the Electronic Identity Card (Cie), by the INPS PIN (which will be valid until 30 September 2021), by the Carta Nazionale dei Servizi (Cns) or by fiscal code together with password and Pin code provided by the tax authorities.
Once their position towards the Revenue Agency has been verified, the taxpayer has the possibility to make the payment online, but also to activate an installment of any arrears or to suspend the collection of the same if he deems not to be in a debt situation. In complete self-defense, therefore, it can be decided to also interrupt the debt payment of the car tax, suspending its collection online, if you are sure that the amount shown in the tax bill or in the payment notification is not due.
After the initiation of this procedure, of course, the creditor will be responsible for carrying out further checks to clarify the position of the taxpayer.
