The reunion between Ramón Otero Pedrayo and Diego Xelmírez | Radio Galicia

For 69 years the Antón Beiras and Antía Cal family kept a valuable sound document, the speech that the historian and intellectual Ramón Otero Pedrayo delivered on June 15, 1952 in the Refectory of the Pazo de Gelmírez on which was the first archbishop of Compostela, Diego Gelmírez.

It’s 40 minutes of speech in an exciting tone and epic about the man who placed the city of Santiago and those of Rome and Jerusalem at the same height.

The Atlantis Multimedia production company, author of works such as La Palabra Justa, remastered the original that had been preserved in a coil of steel wire and that this Monday played again at the Pazo de Xelmírez and the Praza del Obradoiro.

At Cadena SER in Galicia we preview a fragment of that speech and interview Eduardo López Pereira, president of the Otero Pedrayo Foundation.
