The development of prices was pointed out by the editors of the Overclock 3D website, which monitors the situation in the United Kingdom. The local branch of Amazon sells Ryzeny 5000 on average at 14% lower prices than the recommended prices. This has led “non-English residents” to verify prices in other parts of the world, and although it cannot be said that the declines have been so marked elsewhere, they are clearly observable. The US Amazon sells these processors at an average price 5% lower than the MSRP (the “blame” is the price of the Ryzen 9 5900X, which is above the MSRP; the price of the other three models is on average 9% below the MSRP) and the German GeizHals sells 12, 75% below MSRP.

Current prices of Ryzen 5000 processors compared to MSRP (in square brackets)
If we look at the situation in the Czech Republic, it is a bit more complicated. There are no official Czech prices, so we have to compare the development with current prices: According to the price search engine Heureka, the minimum prices of Ryzen 5 5600X and 7 5800X increased by 60-160 CZK compared to the end of August, while Ryzen 9 5900X is 280 CZK cheaper and Ryzen 9 5950X fell by 320 CZK (in both cases it is about a 2% difference). Compared to the prices one week older, this is a more significant decrease, by CZK 890 (7%) for Ryzen 9 5900X and CZK 660 (3%) for Ryzen 9 5950X. So something is happening in our country as well, but so far it is relatively weak. It can be assumed that this is a traditionally slower reaction of the Czech market, which may be due to lower purchasing power and longer-lasting stocks of previously purchased chips.
If you are planning to buy one of the current generation of Ryzens in the near future, it is definitely worth watching the price development for a few more weeks. With regard to developments abroad, the decline in prices in the Czech Republic should continue (in relation to Ryzen 9) or at least begin (in relation to Ryzen 5 and 7).
The era of the Riesen 5000 is slowly coming to an end, or rather the end of their era in the position of the most powerful products. Intel processors are expected to begin selling on November 19 Alder Lake / Core 12000 and also at the end of the year on AMD Zen 3 with V-Cache, with the first product in this barrel expected to be the desktop processors on which the company presented the V-Cache deployment.
