Moroccans are allowed to vote, but whether they do it? ‘Nothing changes anyway’

Moroccans in the Netherlands

About 400,000 Moroccan Dutch live in the Netherlands. On paper they are allowed to vote for the elections in Morocco, but in practice this is quite complicated. You have to travel to Morocco to vote or you have to give someone who is in Morocco a power of attorney. This is not further facilitated. The new electoral law does not refer to the Moroccan diaspora; nothing new has been arranged for them.
