The logistics company Omniva has agreed with SIA Narvesen Baltija (Narvesen) on cooperation in providing parcel removal services.
At the same time, work is underway on the installation of 92 new parcel terminals, which are planned to be implemented by the end of this year, thus providing a total of 500 Omniva parcel collection points throughout Latvia.
The agreement reached between the companies envisages increasing the number of Omniva collection points to 200 new locations, offering to use this service also at Narvesen sales points throughout Latvia.
“The rapid development of e-commerce during the pandemic and the persistently high demand for parcel service are still forcing us to look for new solutions and forms of cooperation. Despite this, we are investing 2.8 million euros this year In Latvia, up to 300, we are pleased that we have managed to establish cooperation with a reliable partner, and thus we will become even more accessible to our customers, “says Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Omniva’s manager in Latvia.
Dace Dovidena, Chairman of the Board of Narvesen, is convinced that in such unpredictable market conditions, the winners will be those companies that will be able to react quickly and adapt to the needs of the business and consumer environment.
“One of Narvesen’s main tasks is to be accessible to everyone who travels in their daily lives, throughout Latvia, including remote areas. This goal we share with Omniva. As the importance and convenience of Omniva services are important to many Latvians, we are glad that we can “offering the right infrastructure to make it even more accessible. Such co – operation is the best way to achieve good goals by joining forces with like – minded people for the benefit of all parties, especially the people,” said Doviden.
The new cooperation with Narvesen and the planned expansion of the parcel network until the end of this year will strengthen the company’s position.
Withdrawals at Narvesen outlets will be similar to parcels.
When the shipment arrives at the Narvesen receiving point, the customer will receive a notification in the form of an SMS. After receiving the SMS, the recipient of the shipment will be able to go to the specified address, where, naming the details of his shipment to the seller of Narvesen, the shipment will be delivered to the customer.
