Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 39, has been injured in the knee since the beginning of May this year, but is now on his way back and approaching a comeback. Earlier on Tuesday, the Italian newspaper La wrote Gazzetta dello Sport that the Swede can be ready to start in Sunday’s summit with Lazio in Serie A.
Milan coach Stefano Pioli is looking forward to seeing Ibrahimovic on the pitch again. He is extremely happy to have the 39-year-old striker in the team, as they work well together.
– It’s easy to agree with Zlatan. We are both straightforward as human beings. We say what we think of each other and we have the team’s best in mind when we confront each other, says Pioli according to Milan Eye and continues:
– Zlatan will never admit it, but he is the one who puts himself first in the line and takes his responsibility. He is a person with an extreme intelligence and compassion. He has really made the team grow a lot and still has a lot to give Milan.
Pioli is also generally happy with the crew he has available this year.
– This Milan team is the best I’ve had. The guys have grown a lot and have gotten better individually, he says.
Milan have six points after two matches and are in fourth place in Serie A.
