Abraham Lunggana aka Haji Lulung claims to have served as Chairman of the Central Executive Board PPP DKI Jakarta has decided to return to PPP from PAN.
Lulung said that he had pocketed a Decree from the PPP DPP regarding his appointment.
“That’s right [jabat Ketua DPW PPP Jakarta], from last September 6,” Lulung told CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (7/9).
Lulung admitted to having submitted a letter stating his resignation from PAN on September 1, 2021 which was handed over to Ketum PAN Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas). He claimed his decision to return to the PPP was due to pressure from scholars.
“I’m sorry to Pak Zul, I returned to PPP. Because of the urging of the ulama. I was given a thumbs up by Pak Zulhas,” he said.
Similarly, the Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno said that Lulung was entrusted with the mandate as the PPP Chair of DKI Jakarta after deciding to leave PAN.
“It is true that Pak Haji Lulung returned to PPP. He sent his letter of resignation conveying his intention to return to PPP. Leading PPP in Jakarta,” said Eddy.
Eddy congratulated Lulung on his new mandate. He stated that he felt lost because he was together in Commission VII of the DPR since the beginning of being elected as a member of the 2019 DPR.
“I respect Haji Lulung’s decision. As brothers, we will continue to stay in touch,” said Eddy.
Separately, PPP Secretary General Arwani Thomafi only welcomed Lulung after returning to PPP. Regarding his position as Chairman of the Jakarta PPP DPW, he is still reluctant to explain further.
“There will be a special statement delivered by the Ketum,” said Arwani.
