Singer Vilém Čok celebrates his 60th birthday. The well-known stormtrooper, who has a wild rocker life full of alcohol to his credit, indulges in several months of detox, with which he puts his body in the lurch. Because when he’s stressed, he does a lot of crazy things.

Czech singer Vilém Čok he liked music from an early age. In 1978 he founded the Prague punk trio Zikkurat and four years later he joined the legendary Prague selection. But the former communist regime did not like it, so it banned it. But Chok didn’t give up and started playing with Moped.

In 1986 he moved back to the Prague selection. At the end of the eighties, he founded his own music band called Nová Růže, and after its disintegration, the band Delirium Tremens was formed thanks to him. But then he returned to the Prague selection, where he worked until its disintegration in 2006. Six years later, however, he band Pražský výběr returned to the podium.
Chok has also appeared in musicals such as Excalibur, The Painting of Dorian Gray, Beauty and the Beast, The Ratman, Joan of Arc and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also sings with his next “new” band ByPass and Vilém Chok fans also know as actors from films or series Street, Praguers, they’re hey or Magician Rye. For several months, he also presented the entertaining show Fast Money, where he performed instead moderator and entertainer Petr Rychlý.
The singer is also happy for 40 years with his wife Jana, with whom they have two adult sons – Michal and Filip. In 2012, he also became a grandfather.

He himself is well aware that his body has been given enough work throughout his life, so he tries to relieve him in this way. He gives up alcohol easily, but with good food it would be much harder, he said.
