Senior singer and presenter, Koes Hendratmo, die. He breathed his last at 79 years.
The son of Koes Hendratmo, musician Bonita, is currently on his way to Jakarta to be able to take his father to his final resting place.
This was conveyed by Bonita’s husband and bandmate, Petrus Briyanto Adi or Adoy, through a short message.
“Currently Bonita is on her way to Jogja to catch a plane to Jakarta this afternoon (or) this afternoon,” he wrote to detikcom.
When asked about the cause of death Koes Hendratmo, Adoy said he could not confirm this.
“Why, we don’t know for sure,” he replied.
Previously, the sad news regarding the death of Koes Hendratmo was confirmed by the manager from Bonita, Nia.
“That’s right, Ms. Bonita’s father (Koes Hendratmo) died,” said Nia’s manager, quoted from CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (7/9/2021).
Although it is not known for certain, Nia said that the deceased may have died of heart disease. “The possibility of death of heart. He did have a history of heart disease,” he continued.
During his life, Koes Hendratmo known as the host for a music quiz called Racing in Melody. The quiz, in which participants had to guess the title of the song sung in the event, was very popular and attracted the attention of the audience.
Other than that, Koes Hendratmo also has a record of gait in the world of music. She has given birth to a number of albums, including Lambuan Bunga (1959), Sansaro (1968), Wanita Wanita (1970), Legendary Batak Pop (2000), and My Love for You (2011).
Koes Hendratmo’s children also followed in his footsteps to have a career in the music world, they are Anda Perdana and Bonita.
Previously, the wife of Koes Hendratmo, Aprilia Puspitawati, also died this year, on May 20, 2021, at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital. He died at the age of 52 years.
