You were on your way to work when suddenly there was an accident.

A fire engine crashed on the way to a traffic accident in the Lörrach district.

Two emergency services suffered minor injuries, as the police announced on Monday.

The fire brigade was therefore on the road with blue lights and sirens when the driver lost control in heavy rain on Sunday afternoon.

The fire truck then came off the country road in a curve near the community of Kleines Wiesental and tipped over on its side in the ditch.

The injured firefighters came to a clinic after the accident. The amount of property damage was initially not known. / dpa
